With the getmotion program, you can edit animated SVG icons by changing the stroke, fill color, and manipulating the animation speed. The platform features a very good database of free icons that you can use to edit or download them. When you finish your work, you can download it in SVG format or copy the SVG code.
The tool is currently in “Beta” status, but we have been pleasantly surprised by the number of positive comments, the high rating of the interface among users, and our own experience using it.
Editing animated icons with getmotion
First, you'll need to download getmotion to your computer. When you run the program, you'll find a large number of icons in the right panel, many of which are free to use, while many others belong to the commercial plan. If you need to search for a particular icon, you can do so from the search bar.
In the right panel of the program interface, you'll find the following editing tools:
- Adjust animation speed
- Adjust the stroke length of the icon
- Customize the color of the icon's borders
- Fill the negative areas with other colors
- Reset option (reverts changes)
Regarding the speed and length functions, you'll have to drag the mouse cursor from left to right over the wheel to manipulate the following parameters:
- The stroke width range is from 1.0px to 4.0px.
- The animation speed range is set between 0.1 seconds and 15 seconds (after the interval, it repeats in loop mode).
getmotion is a program with very good functions to edit an animated icon. You can also search for an animated icon from its database. All under a very easy-to-use and free interface.
