Windows 10 comes with many advantages, and one of the most useful is the option to extend the battery life of your laptop. The environment limits background tasks and various activities so that the device battery reaches its maximum performance.
Getting started
The first thing you need to do is click on Start and select Settings, then go to the System icon.
Now click on Battery saver and activate it. (To do this, your battery must be installed and the device must be disconnected from the power outlet.)
At this point we enter the Battery saver settings panel and first we will set the saving to start at a certain percentage (in our case we chose 40%).
Further down, we select the option to reduce screen brightness and the option for this setting to apply to different notifications.
At the end of the window we find the Add an application icon, and from there we add the different utilities we want to apply in energy saving.
With this configuration you can make the battery last much longer and extend its useful life.
Checking battery usage
Then, in Battery usage, you can see which applications have demanded the most energy and use them less.
But the key point here is to click on Change background app settings and activate or deactivate the options you need.
With these little tricks you can extend your battery life and do the tasks you need. In our case, we increased the battery life from 2 hours 30 minutes to more than 3 hours. Microsoft also recommends doing these tasks to increase the useful life of our battery.
