Finding the lyrics of a song is as easy as searching its title or part of the content on Google, but if you're an advanced Spotify user, it's not a bad idea to add an automatic solution. In the case of Spotify, you only have to click the microphone icon to access the lyrics… but there is something about the interface and the chosen source that doesn't sit quite right. Fortunately, there are developments like Versefy that let us find the lyrics of Spotify songs in a different way, and with its own window.
How to find Spotify song lyrics with Versefy
Logically, the only thing Versefy asks is that Spotify is already running (that means you don't need to enter credentials in the program). Its functions are always on top, dark mode, font size and style, a "Focus mode" that disables its interface, writing a review, or making a donation to the developer.
The configuration options are limited to choosing the font for the lyrics, and there are three: MusixMatch, Genius and Tekstowo.pl. Perhaps the most interesting aspect of Versefy is that it doesn't work exclusively with Spotify. If you're a user of Tidal, VLC Player, foobar2000 and the classic Winamp, the lyric search will work without issues.
That said, Versefy is not perfect. We've seen it stumble on some relatively popular songs, its speed isn't always ideal, and the lack of auto-scrolling is felt. However, I think it's a good complement to finding the lyrics of Spotify songs, and much better than the official solutions.
