For eligible iPhones, Apple documents ways to delete one Siri AI conversation or several at once, and to choose a 30-day or one-year retention period. Conversations older than the selected period are permanently deleted. Apple Support’s iPhone guide also says Siri app history syncs across Apple products signed in to the same Apple Account.

Before you start

Apple describes Siri AI as beta software for iOS 27 or later. On iPhone, it requires an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or iPhone 16 model or later. Siri and the device must be set to a supported language; English is supported to start.

Delete one conversation or several

Use the Siri app to manage its conversation history:

  1. Delete one conversation: Touch and hold it, choose Delete, and confirm.
  2. Delete several conversations: Open Options, select the conversations, choose Trash, and confirm.

Choose how long conversations are kept

Use the Keep Conversations control to choose a 30-day or one-year period. Apple says conversations older than the selected period are permanently deleted, so choose the duration with that consequence in mind.

Quick reference

  • One conversation: touch and hold it, then choose Delete and confirm.
  • Several conversations: use Options, select them, then choose Trash and confirm.
  • Retention: choose 30 days or one year; older conversations are permanently deleted.

Conversation history across Apple devices

Apple says Siri app conversation history syncs across Apple products signed in to the same Apple Account. The account condition matters: the documented sync applies to products using that same account.

What Apple says about Private Cloud Compute

Siri AI combines on-device models with Private Cloud Compute, Apple’s system for handling some requests. Apple says personal data processed through Private Cloud Compute is not stored or accessible to Apple or anyone else. That statement applies to requests handled through this system. Apple described the architecture and its scope in its Siri AI announcement.
