Similar to WhatsApp Web, Google has just enabled the web version of Android Messages. In other words, you can now use your PC to send messages to Android devices, and here's how to do it.
Google has just implemented the web version of the Android Messages service, which lets you use your PC to send and view messages on Android devices. With this implementation, Google is betting on Android Messages to compete against iMessage, WhatsApp, and Facebook Messenger. But that's not all, the company also announced many improvements to Android Messages, including the ability to search and send GIFs, smart replies (though for now they are only available in English, with a promise that more languages will be added soon), link previews (automatically turning a link into a box showing an image, title, and additional text), and copying and pasting passwords or security codes.
How to use Android Messages on your PC
To use this option, you must have Android Messages installed on your device. Open the app, go to the More options menu, and select Messages for web. Finally, scan the QR code using the same mobile app to create a link between the two versions. From that moment on, you can use Android Messages on your PC and make use of text, images, emoticons, and stickers, just like in the mobile version of the application.
Although Google stated that the web version of Android Messages is already available, it is possible that in some regions the service has not yet been enabled. If that is your case, don't worry, because it will be available during the rest of the week.
