Remote sign-out is handled separately by each account provider. To remove a device you can no longer access, use that account’s device or session controls; if someone may know your password, revoke sessions and secure the account too.

Find the right sign-out control

A guide published by WWWhat's new on October 28, 2026, describes the routes for Google, Apple, WhatsApp, Facebook/Meta, and Amazon.com. The Netflix and Reddit actions below come from their respective help pages.

Google and Apple: check what you are removing

Watch Tweak Library’s English-language Google Account sign-out walkthrough, published January 4, 2022

For Google, review each session rather than assuming one row equals one physical device. WWWhat's new notes that separate sessions can represent different browsers, incognito windows, or apps. Its guide also says the activity time may reflect a background connection rather than the last time someone actively used the device.

A Tweak Library tutorial walks through the Gmail app, Google Account security, device management, and signing out of a selected device. It was published on January 4, 2022, and its menus may differ from current versions.

For Apple, removing a device from the Apple Account list is not the same as erasing it. Use Find My for Lost Mode or remote erase. WWWhat's new says a device that remains signed in may reappear in the account list when it reconnects.

Netflix’s device list can be incomplete

Netflix Help says some devices may take up to 48 hours to appear in Manage Access and Devices. Devices inactive for more than 90 days are omitted, as are devices used only for Netflix games or Tudum. Netflix also says device information may be incomplete, and the Windows app may appear as Microsoft Edge. A missing entry therefore does not settle whether another device has had access.

If a Reddit account may be compromised

Reddit Help says to use the account activity page to log out of all active sessions. It also recommends resetting the password, choosing a strong, unique password, and enabling two-factor authentication, which adds a second sign-in check.

  1. Open the Reddit account activity page.
  2. Choose the option to log out of all active sessions.
  3. Reset the password and enable two-factor authentication.

Signing out alone may not stop someone who knows the password from signing in again. Change a password that may be known to someone else. Reddit’s compromised-account guidance covers the session and account-security steps.
