How to Test Your Mouse Speed

With the platforms we'll cover, you can check your mouse's click speed, whether it's a single click or clicks made within a given time interval (in seconds). All the listed platforms have a different method to test your mouse click speed.

The programs also offer other functions: see the last click, the time between clicks, practice your speed and reaction when clicking on a specific area of the screen, and so on.

FingerClick

We'll start with FingerClick, a very simple program for testing your mouse click speed. The platform gives you a 10-second window, in which you make as many clicks as you can. To use it, you just have to click the “START!” button. At that moment, the “CLIC!” button is enabled, and you have to immediately make all the clicks you can within the timer's designated range.

In real time, you can see the number of clicks. When the timer ends, you can see how many clicks you made. From the “REPLAY!” button you start the test again. The program is free and is available for Windows operating systems.

Speed-tester

We continue with Speed-tester, a very interesting platform for testing your mouse click speed. Unlike the previous utility, you don't have to make clicks over a set period. Instead, you just do a single click so the environment can measure the speed of your mouse click.

How to use Speed-tester:

After downloading the ZIP file, you'll need to run the “index.html” file so the platform executes in a tab of your default web browser. You'll automatically see a colored block in its interface; when you see it, click on it as fast as you can (only once). Then, the platform will give you a report at the top of its interface. Not only is this environment great for testing your mouse click speed, it's also useful for practicing your click speed on a specific area of the screen. Ideal for games!

Clicking Speed Test

We'll finish with Clicking Speed Test, a very simple online platform for testing your mouse click speed. On the site, you'll see a virtual circle (click on it repeatedly). Then, at the bottom, you'll see a chart called “Click Speed Chart” and below that a text with the following statistics:

• Number of clicks made in a given range of seconds.
• Average click.
• Whether your performance was good or below average.
• The platform will reward you with an amount of cookies (medals).
