Editorial report
HTC Desire 22 Pro 8 GB / 128 GB / International technical sheet
The HTC Desire 22 Pro suits buyers looking for a large-screen 5G phone with wireless charging and a high-resolution main camera. Its 205.5 g weight, 9.4 mm thickness, and 4,520 mAh battery are the main trade-offs against most phones of its time.
The 6.6-inch IPS LCD display has a 120 Hz refresh rate, typical of phones launched around the same time, and 400 ppi pixel density, higher than most. The 64 MP main camera resolution is also higher than that of most phones of its time, and a 13 MP ultrawide camera adds a wider-angle option. Overall, the camera is typical. The 4,520 mAh battery supports 18 W wired charging, a typical figure, while its 5 W wireless charging power is among the highest of its time. The battery overall stands better than most, even though its capacity is lower than that of most phones launched around the same time.
The Snapdragon 695, 8 GB of RAM, and expandable 128 GB storage place its hardware at a typical level for its time. Connectivity is typical overall, with 5G, NFC, Dual Nano-SIM, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It has IP67 resistance and runs Android 12. With a NeoScore of 5.7 and a typical overall standing among phones launched around the same time, the Desire 22 Pro is a fit for buyers who prioritize a large display, 64 MP camera resolution, and wireless charging, and can accept a heavy body and a more modest battery capacity.
