The Huawei nova Y74 suits buyers who prioritize a large battery and essential Android-phone functions, provided they can accept modest performance, limited storage and no Google Services. Its 6620 mAh battery supports 40 W charging and reverse charging, allowing it to share power with another device.
The 6.67-inch IPS LCD display has 850 nits, 264 ppi and a 90 Hz refresh rate. Its large 20:9 surface works well for viewing content, but 90 Hz is among the weakest rates of its time, while pixel density is typical. The Huawei Kirin 710 is paired with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. That storage is less than most phones of its time offer, cannot be expanded, and the chip scores worse than most phones of its time in AnTuTu.
