Editorial report
Huawei P30 Pro New Edition technical sheet
The Huawei P30 Pro New Edition suits buyers who want versatile cameras and strong hardware, and can accept a 4,200 mAh battery capacity below average for phones of its time. Its 40 W wired charging is faster than on most phones from that period, while 15 W wireless charging is among the best. The battery offering overall is among the best, even though its capacity is more modest than average.
The 6.47″ OLED display has 398 ppi, above average, and an 88.6% screen-to-body ratio, among the best of its time. At 8.4 mm thick, the body is thinner than most, though its 192 g weight is above average. Performance is among the best on phones of its time, with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage exceeding what most offer. The camera is also among the best: its 1/1.7″ sensor is larger than most, its f/1.6 aperture is among the brightest, and its 5x optical zoom is among the best. The main camera records 4K video at 30 fps. A 6.6 NeoScore makes this a compelling choice for buyers who prioritize camera versatility, ample storage and charging options, provided they are comfortable with below-average battery capacity.
