Despite all that we have at our disposal today, humanity cannot help but imagine a future where it visits planets and stars with ease. Of course, not all visions are optimistic, and some artists prefer to explore variations of classic problems like pollution and overpopulation. What do you think will happen? Will humanity advance far enough to leave its cradle and know the universe, or will it repeat the same mistakes until it disappears…?
A Hard Truth
Too late to explore the world, too early to explore the universe. Some phrases on the Web are darker than necessary, but this one touches us in a special way because in the end it doesn't stop being true. Without diminishing the extraordinary work of experts, current space exploration is a bit… frustrating, so to speak.
The Space Exploration Gap
Elon Musk himself expressed a few years ago that humanity already should have a lunar base, when we haven't visited it in more than 50 years, being only 384,000 kilometers away. Science needs time, however, artists have the advantage of being able to accelerate it, creating small windows that show us hypotheses, possibilities… dreams and nightmares.
