Virtual Reality Meets Adult Content
Water is wet, the sky is blue, and virtual reality is going to cross paths with adult content—it's inevitable. The responsibility for creating good material lies with developers, but different accessories also enter the equation, designed to "expand and optimize" the experience. One of those accessories is the Illusion VR, which we can describe as a suit equipped with various sensors and interfaces whose overall goal is... to reproduce, to a certain extent, sexual activity in a virtual reality video game.
Why Accessories Matter
One of the first things we do when entering a virtual reality game is look for our hands, but the tracking capability isn't there unless additional accessories intervene. Now, reality may well be 'virtual', however, in several cases a minimum dose of physical interaction is expected, otherwise the headset becomes little more than a glorified monitor. With that in mind, let's talk about erotic games, or at least, the possibility of seeing erotic games in virtual environments. That... is the Illusion VR, a new suit-shaped interface specially designed to reproduce the stimuli that the player should receive during sexual acts in the multiple scenes that these games usually have. The suit features an (undetermined) number of tactile sensors, a pair of gloves, and a device placed between the chest and stomach. On one side, the user has access to what appear to be silicone breasts that record each of their movements, and on the other there is a kind of piston where the player places their member.

The hardware requirements for the Illusion VR are on par with what a virtual headset requires, and from what we've been able to find out, the $400 price didn't prevent the suit from selling out completely. Knowing Japan, it's very likely that Illusion's direct competitors will launch similar devices, but if virtual sex is heading in that direction, well...
