The cult film Iron Sky is finally getting its long-awaited sequel. Earth has been devastated by a nuclear war, and a band of survivors must now face an ancient reptilian race. Take a look at the trailer for Iron Sky 2, which features Hitler on a Tyrannosaurus rex.
The Story So Far
The story picks up twenty years after the events of Iron Sky, when the former Nazi lunar base has become humanity's last refuge. After a nuclear war devastated Earth, a group of humans must travel to the planet's core, where a power that could save or destroy humanity awaits: the Holy Grail. Iron Sky: The Coming Race leads our heroes on an adventure into Hollow Earth, where they battle the Vril, an ancient shape-shifting reptilian race commanding an army of dinosaurs.
The Trailer
Produced on a €17 million budget raised through an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign, the sequel continues the saga of the Moon Nazis and humanity's fate. Now, salvation rests in the hands of Obi, daughter of Renate Richter (the first film's heroine), who joins a group of survivors on a journey to the new Hollow Earth to find the source of eternal life. Judging by the trailer of Iron Sky: The Coming Race, the movie promises action, sci-fi, a look at the incredible Hollow Earth, and a reptilian version of Adolf Hitler riding a Tyrannosaurus rex—something fans have craved since the sequel was announced.
Iron Sky: The Coming Race stars Lara Rossi, Vladimir Burlakov, Kit Dale, Udo Kier, Julia Dietze, Tom Green, Stephanie Paul, Jukka Hilden, and Kari Ketonen. Produced by Iron Sky Universe and directed by Timo Vuorensola (Iron Sky), the film opens in theaters on February 14, 2018. Definitely the perfect movie for Valentine's Day.
