With JellyCam you can create stop motion videos using images stored on your computer or taken directly from your webcam. The platform also lets you add a soundtrack to the animation and incorporate graphic plates such as titles, credits, or headers.
The simple interface of JellyCam allows you to create stop motion videos with great ease. Once the animation is finished, you can export it or upload it directly to YouTube. To run JellyCam properly, you need to install Adobe AIR on your computer (Windows or Mac OS X), so keep that in mind.
Creating your stop motion video
- When you open a new project, you'll see your webcam in the interface. If you need to change the camera resolution or customize the timer, just click “Settings” and make the adjustments from there.
- After framing your shot, click the “Take Pic” button at the bottom of the screen (you can take unlimited photos). The captured images will appear in the “Frames” section, where you can reorganize, duplicate, invert, or delete them.
- Once you've determined the order of the images, you'll find the options “Make Movie”, “Picture Files”, “Soundtrack”, and “Title Screen” in the left panel. From “Picture Files” you can add photos from your computer, in “Soundtrack” you can add any audio track to the video, and from “Title Screen” you can add titles and graphics. The “Make Movie” option lets you create the video.
Once the video is finished, you can export it in FLV format or upload it directly to YouTube from the “Create Video” function located on the left side of the interface.
