How to manage passwords for free and offline with KeePass
One of the most important functions of KeePass, besides managing passwords, is creating them. We can choose the length of the password and its complexity level by enabling the use of special symbols, but if the goal is to achieve superior security, the best is to generate passwords using the entropy collection function, which asks us to move the mouse cursor over an image and press random keys on the keyboard. The passwords will be a real nightmare to remember… but that's KeePass's job.
In fact, the only password we need to remember is the one we use when encrypting the database. KeePass has been criticized for its interface, but in practice, all we have to do to enter credentials on any website or web service is drag the username and password fields (or use copy/paste if it's more comfortable).
