The Kodi application needs no introduction. It is by far the most popular option to “convert” computers into HTPCs, but it has developed a very special relationship with the Raspberry Pi. The Kodi Raspberry Pi Case is a limited edition case made of aluminum (the external covers are plastic), compatible with the Raspberry Pi models 1 B+, 2, and 3. So far, there seems to be nothing special about it beyond its finish and the Kodi logo on top, but the case’s function goes a bit further. With the intervention of a small thermal pad and a pressure point, the entire case becomes a heat sink for the Raspberry Pi, something very useful if the plan is to overclock or keep it running for long periods. The case provides access to the memory card and the rest of the ports.
