The difference between Lacey and other similar programs is that it doesn't use its own network but bases its results on 35 different sources, from YouTube to Vimeo, through SoundCloud, Bandcamp, and even Baidu Music. Under its factory configuration, Lacey uses only five of those sources, but you can select them all... which will give you absolutely chaotic results. Personally, I think the best strategy is to keep the default selection, and add services in case you don't find results.
The download process is as simple as selecting the desired file and clicking the Download button. The default destination path is a subfolder called Lacey inside the Downloads folder, but you can modify it to your liking in the configuration menu. The program also allows you to limit the number and size of downloads, define the format of names, and specify the quality of videos. The Accounts section is exclusive to Mail.ru and Vkontakte, since both require username and password.
In some isolated cases, files report their exact quality and size, but in general terms we must fly blind. Lacey was recently updated, and as far as I could verify, it has been around for a while. It doesn't have an installer, works wonderfully in portable mode, and doesn't present conflicts with Windows 11 beyond the classic SmartScreen complaint. Download a copy!
