Editorial report
Lava Storm 8 GB / 128 GB / India technical sheet
The Lava Storm suits buyers looking for a 5G phone with a large display who can live with a heavier, thicker build than most phones launched around the same time. It weighs 214 g and is 9 mm thick, worth considering for anyone who puts a premium on a lighter, slimmer phone.
Its 6.78-inch IPS LCD display has 1080 × 2460 px resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The display overall and its refresh rate are typical of phones launched around the same time. Connectivity is worse than on most of those phones. The Storm supports 5G, dual Nano-SIM and navigation systems including GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo, but connectivity as a whole is a weaker point. It also has dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and USB 2.0.
The available configuration pairs 8 GB of RAM with 128 GB of storage; that storage capacity is lower than most phones of its time offer. Its 50 MP camera, 5000 mAh battery and 33 W charging are typical rather than distinguishing specifications. The Lava Storm earns an overall NeoScore of 5.5. It is a reasonable fit for buyers who prioritize a large display, 5G and dual SIM, and are comfortable with its weight, thickness, more limited storage and less competitive connectivity.
