I admit it: I spent the weekend generating images with Stable Diffusion. The advantage of being able to install it locally is huge, as it allows me to escape the natural limits of the online service, the waiting queue, and other restrictions. The next step for all of us who have been caught up in this whirlwind is to explore optimization methods, compare prompts, mix results, make mistakes, and try again. Where do we start?
Lexica: The best option to search for images generated with Stable Diffusion
Fortunately, we have a new ally. Developer Sharif Shameem presented Lexica, a search engine for images generated with Stable Diffusion. In essence, Lexica behaves as both a gallery and a database, because in addition to showing the images (the entire set or individually), it also includes the full prompt, the seed number, the strength in the Guidance Scale, and the actual dimensions of each photograph.
For example, if you want to explore a feature you're having trouble with, use it as a search expression in Lexica to get recommendations. Personally, I can say that Stable Diffusion has some problems creating hands and eyes, but by studying the prompts of the best works and what they have in common, I achieved superior results.
Shameem himself explains that Lexica is currently serving about 100 GB of images, and that bandwidth usage has skyrocketed, a clear sign that the search service is a huge success. I just hope its maintenance doesn't become prohibitive. Finally, a warning: Lexica has no filters, watch out for NSFW results!
