Apple’s release listing dated macOS 27.2 Beta 2, build 26B5091g, to September 21, 2026. Reported changes include refreshed interface animations, screenshot-context actions through Siri, and an updated information screen in Voice Memos.
Reported interface and app changes
Beta 2 reportedly makes the volume and brightness animations larger and smoother, enlarges the battery and network icons, and changes the Wi-Fi toggle animation. Siri’s interface is also reported to use a circular animation, while the PKG installer icon becomes a blue cube.
Siri can reportedly analyze screenshot contents through Visual Intelligence and suggest related actions. Examples include saving a document as a PDF or sharing it by email. Voice Memos is also reported to have an information screen highlighting spatial audio and sharing options.
Siri’s five language additions came in Beta 1
French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish support for Siri AI was attributed to macOS 27.2 Beta 1, not introduced as a new feature in Beta 2. Beta 1 was released to developers the week before Apple’s September 21 Beta 2 listing.
Beta 2 is a developer release
Developers could access the beta through System Settings > General > Software Update after opting into macOS beta updates. The reported changes are features of a developer prerelease; the build identifier is 26B5091g.
