Mechvibes is a program that reproduces mechanical sounds while you type on your computer keyboard. The platform allows you to play various types of sound when you press the keys, but the most fun is the typing sound, which takes us back to those years when everything was mechanical and analog. Mechvibes is a free, open-source platform that allows you to add your own audio files to the environment.

Since the platform is open source, you can add sounds to its database. To do so, download the “.ZIP” file of Mechvibes, extract it, and from its source file you can add a set of sounds.

How to manipulate its source code?

To add sound files, navigate to the following path: src, audio, brown-pb t. There you'll need to clone the existing set of sounds and then edit the set by adding any sound. Then just save the changes. When you run the platform again, you'll see the new sounds in the utility's interface.

Clearly, this is just a curiosity that will only serve nostalgic people or those with small children they want to entertain for a while in front of the computer. Mechvibes works on any device, whether laptop or desktop.
