At its October 30, 2026, third-quarter call, MediaTek said it expected 2026 revenue growth in US-dollar terms to exceed its earlier high-single-digit target. The company reported Q3 revenue of NT$168.058 billion, up 18.3% year over year and 10.4% from the previous quarter, in its financial statements. The update follows NeoTeo’s earlier coverage of MediaTek’s AI-demand outlook.

What MediaTek expects for 2026 and Q4

MediaTek’s Q4 guidance led the company to expect full-year revenue growth in US-dollar terms to exceed its previous high-single-digit target. For Q4, MediaTek forecast revenue of NT$210.1 billion to NT$221.8 billion, with 25% to 32% sequential growth and 40% to 48% growth year over year. The earnings-call remarks also set Q4 gross-margin guidance at 45%, plus or minus 1.5 percentage points, and the operating-expense ratio at 26%, plus or minus 2 percentage points.

Rick Tsai said MediaTek completed a US$3.9 billion overseas convertible-bond offering during Q3, with NVIDIA and Alphabet participating.

Smart Edge Platforms grew as Mobile Phone revenue fell

The reported mix shows sharply different trends across the three business groups: Smart Edge Platforms held the largest revenue share and grew, while Mobile Phone revenue declined. Power IC was a smaller part of sales but also grew.

Business groupShare of Q3 revenueYear-over-year revenue changeQuarter-over-quarter revenue change
Smart Edge Platforms58%+63%+20%
Mobile Phone37%−17%−1%
Power IC5%+18%+1%

MediaTek attributed Smart Edge Platforms’ growth partly to new 5G-modem, AI-tablet, AI-PC and automotive-cockpit projects entering production, as well as higher DRAM content in TV SoCs. The company linked Power IC’s year-over-year growth mainly to share gains related to data centers.
