We're a day early with the section that makes everyone look busy and focused on their mobile screens. This time we have: Siralim, a turn-based RPG with roguelike elements; Skiing Yeti Mountain, skiing and yetis on the mountain; Lumines Puzzle & Music, all about puzzles and music, and much more.

Guild of Dungeoneering

With its charming hand-drawn art style, excellent audio, great sense of humor, and incredible gameplay, Guild of Dungeoneering is an indisputable winner. For each dungeon, you choose your hero and then build your dungeon on the fly, including monsters and treasure, by playing cards. Combat is also card-based, and as you explore more and unlock upgrades, you become stronger. And trust me, you'll need it, because once an adventurer is dead, they won't come back. Developed by Gambrinous, Guild of Dungeoneering is available on iOS and Android.

Lume

The story of Lume begins when the power in your grandfather's house goes out. To make matters worse, your grandfather is nowhere to be found. From that moment on, you'll have to dive into a photographic world, solving intricate paper puzzles to help restore power and uncover a deeper mystery behind the blackout. The game features a set built entirely from paper and cardboard, all filmed in sumptuous high definition, giving it its own style. Developed by State of Play Games, Lume is available exclusively on iOS.

Lumines Puzzle & Music

It's quite difficult to improve on the Tetris formula, and when Lumines was released in 2004, it didn't necessarily do that, but it did offer a new take, like a more complicated version of Dr. Mario (without the viruses, of course). It's still crazy fun to play, and a welcome respite from the frustratingly IAP-laden versions of Tetris on mobile devices. Lumines Puzzle & Music includes two albums, one made up of eight new songs and the other of six songs from the original game, including "Shinin" by Mondo Grosso. Developed by Mobcast, Lumines Puzzle & Music is available on iOS and Android.

Siralim

Summon hundreds of powerful creatures to fight by your side in Siralim, a turn-based RPG with roguelike elements. Staying true to the genre, everything in Siralim is randomly generated, including dungeons, quests, and items. Find rare treasures and use them to improve your castle, upgrade your creatures, craft powerful artifacts, learn new spells, and much more. You can even see your enemies approaching before battle begins. It's an endless game so you never get tired. You can try Siralim for free but you'll only have access to part of it. If you want the full game, you'll have to pay. Developed by Kestrel Games, Siralim is available on iOS and Android.

Skiing Yeti Mountain

Really good sports games succeed at one thing above all: they have an idea of what it's like to perform the activity they represent. And Skiing Yeti Mountain fits that list, as this skiing game captures the experience of moving through snow better than any other game since SSX. You start at the top of the mountain and have to descend quickly while completing each stage by passing the flags on the correct sides (and without hitting anything on the way), keeping in mind the time you do it in (the lower the time, the more experience you earn). As you level up, you unlock more gear to equip your skier. Developed by Featherweight Games, Skiing Yeti Mountain is available on iOS and Android.
