Mobile games of the week (15/04/15)

Nothing beats unwinding midweek with some great mobile games! And these are fantastic! Seriously, do you think mobile games are less than games? No way: Amerzone, Five Nights at Freddy's 3, Mr. Driller, and the brilliant Fusion: Sentient, a real-time strategy game like few we've seen. Let's play!

Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy

Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy: Amerzone is an excellent adventure, in which you move through semi-static images. You can observe everything around you, because each view can be rotated 360°. The story revolves around a researcher who follows in the footsteps of an old expedition to the imaginary country of Amerzone, located somewhere in the Amazon jungle. His mission is to return an egg stolen a decade earlier. The egg belongs to a strange bird that is somehow symbiotically related to a tribe of indigenous people. The graphics are very good but, above all, the puzzles are absorbing and always logical. A memorable adventure. Developed by Microïds, Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy is available on iOS and Android.

Dual

Dual (free game): Haven't you played this super fun game with your friends yet? Dual requires two players who are present in the same place. Each player must have a mobile device in hand, facing each other so that both phones are together getting a complete view of the game. This action game with spaceships maintains a close interaction between two people, which gives rise to several rules and tactics that players can implement. You can fight each other with a friend or play cooperatively, competing for a top spot on the leaderboard. The best of all is that the game offers cross-platform play. Developed by Sebastian Gosztyla, Dual is available on iOS and Android.

Five Nights at Freddy's 3

The recent announcement of the Five Nights at Freddy's movie caused a sensation of joy and excitement among fans of the series. Both the first Five Nights at Freddy's and its sequel became an instant success on PC and mobile devices. But as they say, third time's the charm, recently Five Nights at Freddy's 3 came out, which leaves aside the pizzeria to focus on a new horror attraction. As in previous games, the theme is to survive five nights of attacks from an animatronic animal. To do this, you have a series of cameras and systems that will help you monitor the enemy's location and prevent it from reaching your position. The game has two endings, a special mode, and several minigames for everyone's satisfaction. Developed by Scott Cawthon, Five Nights at Freddy's 3 is available on iOS and Android.

Fusion: Sentient

Build and command an elite force in Fusion: Sentient, a real-time strategy game. Here you can control a squad of robotic warriors, known as Sentients, in a fight across the galaxy to uncover the secrets behind a sinister plot linked to an ancient alien race. You can obtain your units from three different bases, each with its own class and special abilities. Battles take place in desert areas or exotic jungles in missions ranging from conquering the enemy base, defending the base, capturing some important object, or survival rounds. If you have Fusion: Genesis on Xbox 360, you can link this game to discover several secrets. Developed by Starfire Studios, Fusion: Sentient is available exclusively on Windows Phone.

Mr. Driller

It's incredible that a game as simple as this can be so addictive. Controlling Mr. Driller, you have to save the town from the attack of colored blocks, going down, down, down, destroying, destroying, destroying. The folks at Namco 'remastered' their classic Dig Dug, adapting it to modern times without ruining what made it addictive. In Mr. Driller, you just have to go down, but it's much more than that. You have to go down without the blocks crushing you, without running out of air, and achieve as many combos as possible to clear the way. The blocks are colored and when you manage to join more than four of the same color, they disappear, giving way to a chain effect that can, in the blink of an eye, end your life. Developed by Namco, Mr. Driller is available exclusively on iOS.
