Notebookcheck’s laptop tests of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, published November 1, 2026, recorded 130 average FPS at 1080p Extreme on an RTX 5090 Laptop GPU and 73 FPS at 4K Extreme, rising to 85 FPS with DLSS Balanced. At 1080p Extreme, its RTX 4050 Laptop GPU averaged 65 FPS, while the Radeon 890M averaged 37 FPS. Each result comes from a specific laptop configuration, so the figures describe those tested systems rather than every laptop with the same GPU.

Full HD Extreme results by laptop GPU

Notebookcheck’s 1080p Extreme results span integrated graphics and several laptop GPUs. The table pairs each average and P1 FPS figure with the laptop and processor used.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 LaptopRazer Blade 16 (2025), Ryzen AI 9 HX 370130 (88)

The review reports 30 ms input latency for the RTX 4050 result. For the Radeon 890M, it reports latency above 50 ms and occasional dips below 30 FPS. Those details add context to the averages: a single average does not describe every moment of a match.

The Intel integrated GPU result also changes sharply with the preset in Notebookcheck’s table: it averages 41 FPS at Minimum, 18 at Balanced, and 12 at Extreme. The tested systems differ in processors and laptop models, so this lineup is a set of system results, not a controlled test isolating GPU performance.

What the 4K results show

At 4K (3,840 × 2,160), Notebookcheck reports these average and P1 frame rates for Extreme and Extreme with DLSS Balanced:

Laptop GPUTest laptop4K Extreme, average (P1) FPS4K Extreme with DLSS Balanced, average (P1) FPS
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPUMedion Erazer Scout E2023 (16)33 (23)

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 LaptopRazer Blade 16 (2025)73 (53)85 (62)

For the Razer Blade 16 (2025), the reported average is 12 FPS higher in the 4K Extreme mode with DLSS Balanced than in 4K Extreme. The table compares results from named laptops, not GPU-only configurations; different processors and systems are part of the comparison.

How the in-game benchmark works

BenchmarKing’s video walks through Modern Warfare 4’s graphics settings and compares visual changes.

Notebookcheck accessed the game’s built-in benchmark through the multiplayer menu, and the test requires an internet connection. Its results screen reports average and minimum FPS, hardware details, graphics settings, and input latency. The review uses P1 FPS in its tables alongside averages.

Multi Frame Generation and native frame rates

Notebookcheck lists Multi Frame Generation (MFG) modes of 2×, 3×, 4×, and 6×, and recommends a base rate above 50 FPS. Its results distinguish the base frame rate from generated-frame figures. For the RTX 5090 Laptop GPU at 4K Extreme with DLSS Balanced, for example, the review lists 85 base FPS, with generated-frame ranges of 65–129 FPS at 2×, 53–214 FPS at 4×, and 41–247 FPS at 6×.

Notebookcheck reports lip-sync and visual-transition problems in cinematics and says it did not use MFG during gameplay. The generated-frame figures therefore describe a separate benchmark readout, while the base FPS is the relevant figure for the system’s reported native rendering rate.
