AI-based image generation is no longer exclusive to desktop computers. With the right app, any Android tablet or smartphone can dive into this technology. One of the most interesting options is monAI, which lets you use a wide list of alternative models, configure negative prompts, calibrate secondary values like intensity or step count, and define the final resolution of the image, among other things.
If you want to start generating AI images right away, you can head to Bing Image Creator with your Microsoft account, or take advantage of BlueWillow's free beta, a tough rival for Midjourney. Generate AI Images on Android with monAI
Unlike other similar applications, monAI has an advanced mode for its interface that enables a large number of secondary parameters. Among them, intensity, step count, seed number, and the exact image size stand out, which is very important depending on the type of model we select.
Further down we find a field dedicated to negative prompts, embeddings (that is, 'packages' of negative prompts), support for reference images, and most importantly, fifteen different image generation models. From the classic Stable Diffusion 1.5 to Inkpunk, through Openjourney and Dreamshaper, there's a lot to explore here (if you want to see previews of the models, Civitai will help you).
monAI's free mode is financed with advertising, which means you'll have to watch a short ad every time you start the generation process (the alternative is to pay seven dollars a month). The app also presents a warning before showing NSFW images, but I've noticed many false positives. To finish, the only way to access monAI at the moment is by looking for the APK in alternative stores. The build available on APKCombo is the most recent, and it worked perfectly. Give it a try!
