Moons of Madness is a first-person psychological horror game inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. It explores the inner struggles of astronaut Shane Newehart and the supernatural events occurring at the Trailblazer Alpha research station, the first scientific outpost on Mars. Combining Lovecraft's influence with science fiction, the game aims to provide an intense narrative experience driven by psychological horror. Exploration, Puzzles, and Mental Health
From Shane's perspective, Moons of Madness will be a mix of environmental puzzles (some of which will be very "technical", apparently with space simulation themes) and exploration. As a Lovecraftian horror game set on Mars, exploration will also emphasize the protagonist's mental health issues. Most of the focus on mental health will occur through hallucinations that combine Shane's memories with events that will happen in the future. These events, called "Zone Outs", bend the player's perception of reality by making them question what was a hallucination and what was real.
Technical Details and Release
