Motorola unveiled the Signature 27 on September 22, 2026, announcing a forthcoming second-generation flagship with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor, two specified cameras and an expected worldwide release in 2026.
Motorola announces the Signature 27’s hardware
Motorola says the Signature 27 is the second generation of its Signature phone family. Its announced processor is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6.
The company identifies a 50MP Sony LYTIA 910 main camera and a separate 200MP periscope telephoto camera. The announcement also names Qualcomm image stabilization working with 3.5° OIS hardware. Motorola describes a Video Enhancement Engine that analyzes scenes and adjusts color tones during recording.
ArcticMesh cooling, Gemini features and software support
Motorola says its ArcticMesh cooling system combines diamond-infused thermal gel, liquid metal, copper mesh and a redesigned 3D vapor chamber. The company says that chamber is 40% larger than the previous generation’s.
Motorola also describes creative features powered by Gemini: video creation through Gemini Omni and original music or custom soundtracks through Lyria. Gemini features depend on setup, internet access, language, country and device eligibility.
For software support, Motorola promises seven OS upgrades and up to seven years of security updates from global launch. The company says support terms may vary by market, carrier and model.
Bang & Olufsen audio and two finishes
The Signature 27 is Motorola’s first phone with Audio by Bang & Olufsen. Motorola lists two finishes: Pantone Coal Smoke in Tactical Weave, and Pantone Capulet Olive with a brushed, textile-inspired finish.
GrapheneOS identifies its first supported Motorola phone
GrapheneOS identified the Signature 27 as its first supported Motorola phone. That establishes the device as part of GrapheneOS’s supported Motorola lineup.
Motorola expects worldwide availability in 2026
Motorola expects the Signature 27 to reach markets worldwide in 2026. The company’s US product page says more information is coming in November.
