Any user can turn their Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC into a WiFi hotspot without installing software. The process is very simple, and we must admit Microsoft has done a good job, but it remains a basic option that lacks additional parameters. Today we are more interested in the WiFi Hotspot function, but inside it we also find four types of access: NAT, ICS, Bridging, and No connection.
Activating the Hotspot is very simple: Choose NAT access, then the active Internet connection (it can be WiFi, physical, or Bluetooth), and finally define both the network SSID and the password. Click Start Hotspot, wait a few seconds, and the new network will appear on your devices and computers without issues.
The MyPublicWiFi interface has four additional menus: Clients, which reports all devices connected to our hotspot; Security, where you can block social networks or special protocols, limit the number of devices and generate URL address logs (this is enabled by default); Access & Administration to modify bandwidth aspects, DHCP configuration, blacklisting, and port redirection; and About, with the version number and links to the official page.
