Hello Games announced No Man’s Sky for iPhone and iPad on October 12, with the release scheduled for October 28, 2026. The announced minimums are iPhone 11 and later or iPad Air (3rd generation) and later; Planetary Settlements have a higher iPhone requirement. Hello Games and Apple announced the date.
Which iPhones and iPads are compatible?
Hello Games lists different minimum generations for iPhone and iPad, with mouse and keyboard support specified for iPad. The developer’s announcement gives these requirements and controls:
| Device | Minimum generation | Announced controls |
| iPhone | iPhone 11 | Touch, controllers, TV casting |
| iPad | iPad Air (3rd generation) | Touch, controllers, TV casting, mouse and keyboard |
For Planetary Settlements, Hello Games lists iPhone 15 Pro and later. The general iPhone minimum therefore does not cover that feature. Multiplayer is not supported on iOS, so players looking for online sessions will need another version of the game.
What’s included in the iOS version?
Hello Games describes the release as the full game, with more than 40 major updates, including Cosmos. Apple also says the mobile edition includes every major content expansion to date, including Cosmos. The announced download is under 4GB. Hello Games and Apple provide those details.
Hello Games says the universe is generated on the device as players explore. That describes how the game creates its universe during play; it is not a performance measurement.
Free trial and reported U.S. price
Hello Games says players can try the game for free at launch. Separately, Samuel Axon reported in Ars Technica that the full game will cost $19.99 in the U.S.
