One UI 9 brings many shared features to the Galaxy S25 and S26 lineups, but their reported camera options still differ: the S26 has more listed Pro Video frame rates and a 24MP choice in Camera Assistant, while the S25’s stated 24MP route is Expert RAW. SamMobile’s comparison also describes shared AI and interface features, plus specific exceptions for the FE models.

What both lineups get

SamMobile lists My FanCam, Call Brief, custom Now Brief cards, a Finder search bar on the home screen, Bixby widgets, more Quick Panel customization, easier Samsung DeX desktop management, a Warranty and care menu, and vertical split dual recording for both lineups.

The features cover different everyday tasks. My FanCam can crop an existing group video to follow one person. Now Brief cards can be selected and scheduled, while Finder searches apps, settings, files, and other phone content. Bixby widgets let you type or speak to Bixby; Gemini can remain assigned to the power button. For dual recording, vertical split joins picture-in-picture and horizontal layouts as a choice.

Camera options: frame rates and 24MP photos

SamMobile’s Daniel compares One UI 9 camera menus on the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S26 Ultra, including their Pro Video frame rates and 24MP camera options.

The S26 has more listed Full HD and UHD Pro Video frame rates. SamMobile lists 120, 60, 30, and 24 frames per second (fps) for the S25 series, compared with 120, 100, 60, 50, 48, 30, 25, and 24 fps for the S26 series. For 8K Pro Video, SamMobile lists 30, 25, and 24 fps for the S26 series.

The extra listed S26 frame rates are most relevant if you want to record at 100, 50, 48, or 25 fps. SamMobile notes that people who usually shoot at 30 or 60 fps may find little practical value in those additional choices. The 24MP difference is about workflow: S26 users can choose the resolution through Camera Assistant in standard Photo mode, while the stated S25 route is the separate Expert RAW app.

SamMobile’s video comparison shows the camera menus on the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S26 Ultra. Its presenter, Daniel, also shows a Device Care toggle for blocking apps with excessive ads on the S26 Ultra; the demonstration concerns that device, not every model in the S26 lineup.

Horizontal Lock comes to the S25

SamMobile says One UI 9 brings Super steady with Horizontal Lock to the S25 series; the S26 series already had the feature with One UI 8.5. When enabled, Horizontal Lock keeps video level as the phone tilts or rotates. One UI 9 also gives both lineups the vertical split dual-recording layout.

FE models: Call Brief and Quick Share

SamMobile says Call Brief is unavailable on both the Galaxy S25 FE and Galaxy S26 FE. For the Galaxy S25 FE, it reports that One UI 9 adds Quick Share support for sending photos, videos, and other files to iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
