Fortunately, the world of extensions helps us restore, expand, or remove certain elements at will, and one of the most interesting projects is Tweaks for YouTube, compatible with Chrome and Firefox. The goal of this extension is to give the user more control with the mouse, transforming the playback window into an intelligent region with dynamic adjustments for volume, playback speed, and more precise forward/backward values.

The Tweaks for YouTube icon will appear in the top right corner of the browser. Clicking on it reveals its two main resources, Mouse Control and Player Controls. Mouse Control is the most important, as it turns the playback window into an intelligent region of nine sections with hidden commands. For example, moving the mouse wheel over the top left corner drops playback speed by 50 percent. This repeats in the center-left field with 25 percent, and in the bottom left corner with 10 percent.
The center column is for forward and backward. At the top, the jump is 5%, in the center it changes 5 seconds, and in the bottom section it's just one second. Finally, the right column is dedicated to volume, with controls of 10, 5, and 1 percent respectively. This default configuration can be modified at any time.
