PhonerLite is an application that lets you convert your computer into an IP telephony platform (Voice over IP), all in a background environment that doesn't consume system resources.
Minimum requirements
The only requirements are a full-duplex sound card, a microphone, speakers or a headset, an Internet connection, and a registration with a SIP protocol provider.
Using PhonerLite
Once you download the app from its official website, you'll see its minimalist interface. On the left you'll find the SIP providers (some offer a registration button).
The environment also offers the option to create a contact directory, get call logs, and configure the Proxy registration, STUN servers, ports, and DNS among other options.
PhonerLite is a very light alternative compared to services like Skype; in our tests the platform worked very well. PhonerLite is a free application available for Windows operating systems (portable and executable).
