Photocall.TV needs no introduction at this point. We first talked about the portal in May last year, and later shared a method to play its channels on a Smart TV, but the story doesn't end there. With the help of a set of three Chrome extensions, watching TV online in your browser and recording its content will be much more comfortable and simple.
Photocall TV: TV online, now more than ever
It's very likely that the TV as a standalone device isn't going anywhere, but the way we receive content has changed completely, and perhaps forever. The advance of streaming is undeniable, while traditional cable services face a sort of "forced transformation", offering a greater amount of online services in order to contain the loss of customers.
To all that we must add TV online, also known as IPTV. Previously we explained how to watch free IPTV in 2021, but we must mention Photocall.TV, one of the main reference portals for watching TV online. Toggle Fullscreen
Most of the players that use the streams have a fullscreen feature, but sometimes we find that they don't work properly. On the other hand, pressing F11 to take the browser to fullscreen isn't always comfortable, and that's when Toggle Fullscreen steps in, enabling a shortcut to fullscreen mode to use with the mouse. It's not much, but it works very well.
Picture-in-Picture
On the other hand, many users prefer that TV online doesn't take up their whole screen. In fact, they enjoy it more as "company", voices in the background reporting news or something else. That's the job of Google's official Picture-in-Picture extension. With a single click, the entire Photocall.TV stream will move to a small window in the corner, which you can reposition using the mouse. Definitely recommended.
Stream Recorder
Now, what if we want to record something from what appears on TV online? In other words, bringing back the old "Rec" function of VCRs, on a current stream. The answer comes through the Stream Recorder extension. Once it detects a compatible stream, the red icon will change size, and we'll be ready to record. The recording process itself happens in another tab, and to finish we click Save. The final format is MP4, but be careful! Recordings take up a lot of space.
