Google Find Hub strings reportedly describe more detailed Pixel Tag alerts, including location exclusions and a way to ring a phone from the tag. The controls could cover several kinds of belongings, but the app-code report describes planned behavior rather than a confirmed rollout.
Google announced that Pixel Tag would use Find Hub, with Left Behind alerts and a tag button for ringing a paired phone. For a broader look at the tracker’s place in Google’s lineup, see NeoTeo’s earlier Pixel Tag vs. AirTag 2 comparison.
What the reported Left Behind settings cover
Android Authority reported on October 27, 2026, that strings in Find Hub describe separation alerts for tags, headsets and other items, including multiple items. The reported controls would let users exclude a location from alerts across all devices or for an individual device.
These alerts concern your own tracked item moving out of range. Google describes unknown-tracker alerts separately: those warn when an unknown tracker is traveling with you.
How the tag could ring your phone
The reported instructions call for pressing the tag’s button twice while it is in range of the phone. The ringing setting is associated with one phone at a time. The strings also describe moving settings to another device; Android Authority cautioned that this need not transfer the tag’s ownership or pairing data.
Google’s setup requirements and US prices
Google says setup requires a compatible Android device running Android 9 or later and Bluetooth 6.0. Ultra-Wideband (UWB) precision finding requires a compatible Android device with UWB support, so that feature depends on the phone as well as the tag.
In its August 12, 2026 announcement, Google listed US prices of $29 for one Pixel Tag and $99 for a four-pack. The company scheduled the tags to hit shelves on November 11, 2026.
