Since mobile phones have existed, the problem of accidental dialing caused by rubbing in your pocket or bag has been a recurring issue (except with the appearance of flip models). Today, with the use of smart devices, the problem is different: since the touch area is much larger than on button phones, the screen can turn on with any movement, wasting battery and causing accidental clicks. That is why we present the program “Pocket Mode” which prevents the phone from turning on accidentally in your pocket or bag.
The platform has a very simple interface. You just have to tap a button on the home page to activate pocket mode. Once activated, the tool will automatically turn off the screen when the proximity sensor is covered.
Below the activation button, you have an option to test that the mode is working: Screen lock. If you tap that button and the screen does not lock, the tool is not working. You will then have to restart the device, and after the restart you will see that the lock mode works correctly. If this happens at any other time, remember that restarting the phone solves it.
Other options you will find in Pocket Mode
One of the additional options you will find in the platform is the ability to adjust the delay time for the proximity sensor to activate when covered. The other option is to enable vibration before locking; this function will let you know that the screen is off at that very moment.
The worst part of screen activation is not the battery usage itself, but the accidental clicks that can result in real disasters in your device's settings. Pocket Mode also reads the call state so it doesn't turn off the screen while you are on a call. It is a free and very simple program with which you can stop worrying about accidental clicks and screen activation caused by rubbing in your pocket, items in your bag, or anywhere else.
