However, an unexpected someone appears on the horizon: Popcorn Time, a classic that revolutionized web streaming a few years ago. In reality, Popcorn Time never went anywhere, and its makers now offer Popcorn Time Kids, a variant focused exclusively on children's content.
Many companies have decided to release a good part of their content during the quarantine period. One of the pioneers was Pornhub by enabling premium access for free, but we've also found photography courses, games, puzzles, TV channels, and more. Now, what about the little ones? Video games have been vital these days, but we know very well that they consume and discard that content at an alarming rate.
In other words, we need to optimize the arsenal, and that's when Popcorn Time steps in. Remember Popcorn Time? Its popularity is no longer what it was a few years ago, but it still works relatively well. In the last hours, its developers announced the launch of Popcorn Time Kids, a variant especially focused on offering content for children.
Its operation hasn't changed much compared to the traditional version: You select the movie or series, the resolution, the dubbing (if available) and a subtitle. Depending on its popularity there may be more than one source, but once the initial download reaches 20 percent, the video should start. In the lower right corner of the player you'll find the subtitle control (very useful for replacing them or correcting their synchronization), the casting control, and full-screen switching.
The list of available series and movies is notable, but that doesn't mean Popcorn Time Kids is perfect. In the background everything is P2P, and if your connection has problems with BitTorrent, Popcorn Time Kids could become a headache. There are also some major errors: For example, when we started playback of Shrek, the automatic source began to deliver Shrek 2. On the other hand, the playback of Frozen can only be described as perfect, with 1080p versions and Spanish dubbing.
