Pornhub Makes Premium Free for Everyone to Flatten the Curve with Self-Love

After freeing access in the regions most affected by COVID-19, the portal confirmed through its Twitter account that it will enable its Premium section free for everyone until the next April 23. It's not easy, especially for those not used to it. Even the idea of "telework" and "turning the house into an office" can be intimidating, not to mention factors like depression and loneliness. Speaking from experience: even a drop falling from a badly closed faucet has the potential to end our sanity. However, we face a formidable opponent. It ignores borders, cultures, ideologies, classes, economic situations. In essence, it ignores everything human... except our bodies.

And speaking of bodies, some people need to share theirs quite often, but that's not compatible with quarantine and social distancing. New York City health officials released recommendations to keep our sex lives in good shape "and" protect ourselves from COVID-19. The main suggestion? "You are your best sexual partner." And that's where Pornhub comes in.

Pornhub expands free access worldwide

Last week, Pornhub enabled free Premium access for the Italian territory. Within days, that benefit was extended to Spain, France, and other European countries. In parallel, Pornhub also donated thousands of dollars, euros, and surgical masks to fight the infection. Its efforts finally reached New York with 50,000 additional masks, and in the last hours, what everyone expected happened: Pornhub expanded Premium access to the entire world, until April 23.

All the platform asks in return is to create an account, but we don't need to enter credit cards or anything like that. From a certain point of view, the offer is equivalent to a no-commitment 30-day trial. Part of the web responded with memes and celebration, while others express doubts about the service's ability to handle the peak demand... but I think Pornhub is delighted to have that problem. Whatever it takes to make us stay home and follow the recommendations of New York's Department of Health officials (!).
