The purpose of PreviSat is satellite observation. The program will show you the real-time routes of various satellites for viewing from the comfort of your home. Some of the satellites you can track include GLONASS-K 1 and 2, BIIF and GPS BIIR, GSAT, and INSAT 3D. By specifying a reference location and selecting a satellite, the platform will begin tracking and show you on a planisphere map the route of the artificial satellite.

Very easy to use

From its options you can also analyze various real-time data of the selected satellite: latitude, longitude, altitude, range, azimuth and elevation angle, direction of movement (ascending or descending), and the coordinates of the Sun and Moon.

Once you download PreviSat on your Windows, macOS X, or Linux computer, you will be able to easily track any satellite from your position on the planet. You can also generate predictions about passes, orbital events, transits of the International Space Station, and other phenomena and save them in TXT format.

Other PreviSat features:

  • View live cameras installed on the ISS
  • NORAD SGP4 model
  • Make real-time simulations
  • Includes a complete planisphere map and a sky map
  • Topocentric coordinates, terrestrial coordinates, and equatorial coordinates.
  • Visualize NASA bases
  • Analyze various osculating elements based on Keplerian parameters, circular, equatorial, or circular-equatorial.
  • Displays from its interface information related to apogee, perigee, semi-major axis, eccentricity, inclination, Doppler shift (at 100 MHz), and free-space loss, among other options.
  • Search satellite data for all objects referenced by NORAD since 1957.
