The developer suggests that the 32-bit edition of ProgDVB is easier to configure, but don't hesitate to download the build x64 if the codecs installed on your system have that same architecture. At first, the program will ask you to confirm some data, and one of the most interesting aspects is that it can work with DVB-S/DVB-S2 tuners (after all, it's in its name) to add other signals.
The alternative is to activate one of the sources already included in ProgDVB. In our tests, the installer pre-activated the FreeBestTV and FreeWorldTV lists, but the process to add more channels is reduced to going to "TV Sources" in "Settings", clicking on the IPTV Client option, and pasting the URL with the list so ProgDVB imports it automatically.
The rest is a matter of searching for a channel or radio station and enjoying its content, but it's possible that some signals won't work due to codec conflicts. In that case, the simplest solution is to install the LAV filters (free and open source) and select them as the option for all formats (Settings -> Options -> Video -> Codecs).
