PyLoad presents a new experience in download managers. The platform lets you install the program on a single computer and then access it from any device and location, downloading any kind of environment or file to the server's hard drive remotely. After configuration, you'll access it via your credentials from its web interface (through a port). If you are a user of Python or Raspbian, you can install PyLoad using its source on your remote server. But in this test, we'll install the platform locally on a Windows computer.

Step One

First, download the executable file of PyLoad for Windows operating systems (pyload_0.4.9_win.zip), click here. After extracting it, you will need to run the file “setup.exe” and from the pop-up window select the option “Setup Assistent”. You just need to determine your language preferences and accept the system verification.

Step Three

There you will set your access credentials (username and password) for the remote option. These credentials will be requested when you log in to its web interface. You will also set the download folder for the files and get the port to access the web interface: “localhost:8000/”.

Step Four

Now you can log in from your web browser to access PyLoad. To add a download task, you will need to click on “Add”, specifying the link and the name of the task. You can choose other options, such as protect the download with a password.

Step Five

You can observe the downloads from the web interface, or you can go to the folder you selected in the settings.

Without a doubt, PyLoad is a different concept in download management, because thanks to its functions you can use the manager remotely from any device and any place. Or, use it locally to maximize downloads.
