If you love Solitaire in all its forms and you're tired of the traditional offerings, we have something for you. PySolFC or «PySol Fan Club Edition» is a fork of the original PySol, which was discontinued by its developers in 2004. Its database holds more than a thousand solitaire variants, which don't necessarily use cards. If you want a bit of Mahjongg or prefer to explore the secrets of Ganjifa, you can do both without difficulty.

The problem is that Windows hands us barely three solitaire variants — Klondike, FreeCell, and Spider Solitaire — and they don't even come preinstalled in the latest versions of the operating system.
If we search for new solitaires on the web, we'll see that the number of variants is impressive, but if you want to download and play most of them locally, you don't need to go further than PySolFC.

PySolFC is the heir of the original PySol, and as such it carries on its shoulders more than 1,000 solitaire versions (the official site reports exactly 1,200), some of them quite strange.
All the classics are there, and you'll likely want to start with them, but the idea here is to get your feet wet and learn the rules of darker solitaires.
The content is divided into eight categories and more than 30 types. For example, there are 59 games under the Klondike type, 43 games under FreeCell, 66 Spider games, and 191 Mahjongg games (no, cards don't have exclusivity in PySolFC).
Several of these games have additional cultural barriers that can make learning difficult, but don't give up. Press F1 and study their rules.
Among all these games, there are those that use the International Pattern 52-card deck, games for the 78-card Tarock deck, games for Ganjifa with eight and ten suits, Hanafuda games, and games for an original deck based on hexadecimal, among others. In other words, there's something for everyone.
PySolFC is free and open source. Its latest Windows-compatible binary was published on April 16, 2023, and the installer takes up less than 90.4 megabytes.
Now, a technical detail: the official site reports that some antivirus programs are throwing false positives, and indeed it's a totally false positive. Download without fear.
