Raspberry Pi raised the published U.S. prices of the 2GB Raspberry Pi 4 and Raspberry Pi 5 by $12.50 each on October 1, 2026. The new prices are $67.50 and $77.50, respectively. Raspberry Pi attributed the change to steeply rising memory costs.
New prices for the two 2GB boards
| Model | Previous published U.S. price | New published U.S. price | Increase |
| Raspberry Pi 4 2GB | $55 | $67.50 | $12.50 |
| Raspberry Pi 5 2GB | $65 | $77.50 | $12.50 |
Which Raspberry Pi models are excluded?
The increase applies to the 2GB versions of Raspberry Pi 4 and Raspberry Pi 5. Raspberry Pi said prices for the 1GB versions of both boards remain unchanged, as do those for the 2GB Compute Module 4 and Compute Module 5.
Why Raspberry Pi raised the prices
Raspberry Pi said memory costs had risen steeply over the previous two years, making it unsustainable to maintain the earlier prices for the 2GB boards. For a broader look at memory pricing, see NeoTeo’s earlier article on DDR5 prices.
How the Raspberry Pi 5 2GB price changed
The Raspberry Pi 5 2GB’s original published price was $50. Its reported price rose to $55 in December 2025 and $65 in February 2026. Raspberry Pi said it held prices for the 1GB and 2GB Raspberry Pi 4 and Raspberry Pi 5 during its April 2026 adjustment before raising the 2GB Pi 5 price to $77.50 in October.
Raspberry Pi’s outlook for prices
Raspberry Pi expects memory costs eventually to subside and says it looks forward to reversing its own price increases if they do.
