Chronologically speaking, the Apple Macintosh mouse wasn't the first from the company, but it still managed to become an icon, just like the computer itself. Obviously, that original design can no longer meet the demands of modern users. However, with the help of a special kit and a good dose of 3D printing, Kevin Noki on YouTube managed to modernize it.
We all know there are special keyboards out there. The IBM Model M is one of the first that comes to mind, and many users have fond memories of Microsoft's ergonomic models. But what about mice? If we have to highlight one for historical reasons, the Macintosh Mouse M0100 is a great candidate.
That said... its design is essentially obsolete, with a single button, ball-based pointer control, and an interface that even Apple has abandoned. That brings us to Kevin Noki's YouTube channel, who decided to combine the best of both worlds: the aesthetics of the Macintosh Mouse with modern electronics.

Without a doubt, the most important aspect of this project is the 3D design of the mouse and its subsequent printing. Kevin didn't hesitate to take the long road, eliminating imperfections in all its parts. The mouse looks great even in that neutral color, but Kevin also created a black version with a red scroll wheel, ideal for IBM/Lenovo setups.
The internals of the mouse aren't complicated, and they're based on BambuLab's Wireless Mouse Kit. Of course, nothing stops us from taking another mouse's PCB and adapting the casing, but the kit costs $13 and saves a lot of time. The only major modification is in the switches, which are very easy to replace with a soldering iron.
