A report published on October 27, 2026, alleges that Palit had decided to close a GALAX factory because it could not secure enough NVIDIA chips. The report attributes the claim to unnamed industry sources. It also said already-manufactured GALAX cards might remain on sale until existing inventory ran out.
The same report said GALAX presented a GeForce RTX 5080 HOF Extreme on October 22, 2026.
Palit’s April statement
In a statement published on April 29, Palit said GALAX was not ceasing operations and that its development, production, support, and product roadmap would continue. Palit said management of GALAX, KFA2, and HOF was being centralized at Palit Group headquarters. The company also said GALAX had been part of Palit Group since 2007.
