Over the years, few things have escaped our drive to document the most fascinating corners of the video game industry's past. We specialize in rare, unpublished curiosities. And sure, we still have plenty left, but we're doing pretty well! Among the endless oddities you can discover in our archive, we've talked about very interesting (and not too well-known) things like ignored video games based on cult movies, horror movie games you'll never get to play, slasher killer brawls, horror on VHS and FMV abuse, among much much much more.
Today it's the turn of something we wish had existed, but never had the pleasure. It's a gallery with the works of the geniuses at VGJunk, one of my favorite blogs, full of industry oddities. The question the creators of these detailed pixel art pieces asked themselves was: What would the title screens of Nintendo NES games based on movies that existed but were never licensed look like? An exercise for their artistic sensibilities and a delight for our senses. It's little, but enough to imagine what never was, but could have been. A bit of retrofiction to yearn for a past that never existed.

The Gallery
It's likely you've already seen many of these images around, since the original gallery has been around for a while. Still, at NeoTeo we didn't want to deprive ourselves of sharing it for such a trivial detail. Finally, we've also included some movies that escape the horror genre (like science fiction and comedy), but what doesn't hurt helps, they say. So... enjoy!
