Chinese AI and cloud firms reportedly expected to receive tens of thousands of Nvidia RTX PRO 5500 workstation GPUs over the four months after Bloomberg’s November 4, 2026, report. That was roughly 1% of about 6 million reported orders, according to people familiar with the matter who spoke to Bloomberg.

The reported buyers included Alibaba, Tencent, ByteDance and other Chinese AI and cloud companies. Bloomberg’s sources attributed the limited near-term delivery outlook to Nvidia’s difficulty increasing production amid strong demand.

Earlier forecasts set out two delivery stages

An earlier account published by TIKR on October 20, relaying Reuters reporting, said early samples were expected in December 2026, with commercial deliveries forecast for the first quarter of 2027. NeoTeo previously covered the earlier report of orders by ByteDance, Alibaba and Tencent in its coverage of the reported RTX PRO 5500 orders.

TIKR also relayed an estimate from one source that Nvidia could produce no more than 3 million cards worldwide in 2027.
