The Plot
The plot of Saint Seiya - Soul of Gold takes place after the events of the Hades arc in Masami Kurumada's manga and its subsequent animated adaptation. After giving their lives to destroy the Wall of Lamentations, the Gold Saints are resurrected after crossing an eternity. This time, the Gold Saint Aioria of Leo awakens in the land of Asgard. He was supposed to have perished after burning his cosmos at the Wall of Lamentations while helping Seiya and his friends, but what really happened? What mystery lies behind this new saga?
The Gold Saints Return
The Gold Saints Mū of Aries, Aldebarán of Taurus, Saga of Gemini, Deathmask of Cancer, Aioria of Leo, Shaka of Virgo, Dohko of Libra, Milo of Scorpio, Aioros of Sagittarius, Shura of Capricorn, Camus of Aquarius, and Afrodita of Pisces return to life in Saint Seiya - Soul of Gold with a new enemy waiting in Asgard, where they must fight with the help of new armor, the God Gold Cloth (divine golden armor). The trailer reveals the new design of this God Gold Cloth that Aioria will wear, as well as the appearance of his older brother, Aioros.
Animation and Anniversaries
The animation has also changed compared to the Hades saga, updated to the times. Saint Seiya - Soul of Gold is part of the projects commemorating the fortieth anniversary of Kurumada as a manga artist, who debuted with Sukeban Arashi in 1974, and the thirtieth anniversary of Saint Seiya (although both the manga and the anime only premiered in 1986).
