Samsung began expanding One UI 9, its Android 17-based Galaxy software, on September 16, 2026, starting with the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra. October reports have since named more Galaxy phones receiving the update in the US and other rollout regions.

Samsung also said the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8, and Galaxy Z Flip8 had already received One UI 9 by the time of its September announcement. The official rollout announcement identifies those models and the S26 launch group.

US Galaxy models named in October reports

Android Authority reported on October 5 that One UI 9 was reaching US Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra models, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7. Its report said the rollout was expanding to carrier-locked and unlocked variants. NeoTeo previously covered a community-reported stable update for non-beta Galaxy S25 owners in South Korea in its earlier One UI 9 coverage.

On October 12, Android Authority reported that the US rollout had reached the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Flip6. The report included Galaxy S24 users on T-Mobile and AT&T, plus factory-unlocked Fold6 and Flip6 models.

Other phones and tablets in rollout reports

Xataka Móvil’s October 26 phone list named the Galaxy A17 5G, A27, A36, A37, A56, A57, S23 Ultra, S24 series, S25 series, S26 series, Z Flip6, Z Flip7, Z Flip8, Z Fold6, Z Fold7, Z Fold8, and Z TriFold as being in rollout. The series labels do not specify every individual variant. A separate 9to5Google tracker published October 20 reported stable updates for the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra in rollout regions.

For tablets, Xataka Móvil said updates were expected to begin in the coming weeks for the Galaxy Tab A11 series, Tab Active5 Pro, Tab S6 Lite 2024, and Tab S9, S10, and S11 series. That is a forecast, not a report that every listed tablet had already received the update.

Japan’s schedule applies to Japan

A schedule attributed to Samsung Japan assigned Galaxy models rollout windows from mid-October through late November, including mid-November for the Galaxy S23 Ultra. 9to5Google described those dates as Japan-specific and the device list as non-conclusive. They are not a US release calendar. The October 20 S23-series tracker also reported updates in rollout regions without assigning those reports to every country.

Updates are distributed in stages, so listed models may receive them at different times. Xataka Móvil reported that the process could take days or weeks to reach all users. Android Authority’s US rollout reports direct owners to Settings > Software update > Download and install to check for the update.

Receiving One UI 9 does not by itself mean every feature is available on that phone. Samsung’s Privacy Alerts support list names the Galaxy S26, S26 Ultra, S25, S25 FE, S24, S24 FE, S23, and S23 FE; Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Z Fold8, Z Flip8, Z Fold7, Z Flip7, Z Fold6, Z Flip6, Z Fold5, and Z Flip5; and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, Tab S11, Tab S10 Ultra, Tab S10 Plus, Tab S9 Ultra, Tab S9 Plus, and Tab S9.

Samsung says Scam Detection availability varies by country, region, language, device model, and OS or One UI version. Its announcement names Japan, Canada, and India for the feature’s availability.
