Samsung’s notice schedules the end of SmartThings Tracker service for October 31, 2026. Starting November 1, location checks and notifications for Tracker devices are scheduled to become unavailable. The change concerns Tracker service inside SmartThings, not the entire platform.

What changes on Android and iOS
On Galaxy devices, Galaxy SmartTags will no longer be locatable through SmartThings after the service change. Samsung Find is the reported alternative for locating those tags.
On iOS, SmartThings’ option to search for unknown nearby trackers is reported to end on November 1. That is a separate change from locating Galaxy SmartTags through Samsung Find on Galaxy devices.
Galaxy SmartTags and compatible trackers
The scheduled change concerns the app service used to locate trackers; it does not disable the physical Galaxy SmartTag. The reports also say compatible third-party trackers integrated with the same network are affected.
